On 31st of July 2020, the Ministry of Education and the Regional Authorities agreed on the text regulating the Wellbeing and Health Security for children from 0-6 year’s old, applicable national wide in all schools of these levels, as of next academic year.   To ensure the wellbeing and health security, the guidelines foresee the following methodology:  The children will be organised in groups in order to identify the educators/teachers and to limit the effect of contagious cases.  Children (being under 6 years of age) are exempted from wearing a PPE, while educators, teachers and parents are not.

Special attention is dedicated to school’s entrance and exiting areas. Only one of the parents is allowed to bring / pick up the(ir) children and, they are requested to, when possible, remain outside the school premises. For an increased level of security, a record of the presences – containing the names of those who access the school perimeter – may be established.

Collective spaces will also be organised in order to ensure the implementation of adequate activities for the different ages, while allowing other pedagogical actions involving children from different classes EB: activities involving children from different groups is not allowed.  Toys and didactic equipment are to be assigned to each group in an exclusive way.  The Guidelines further recommend to privilege external spaces.
