On line conference: Teachers in Europe: Careers, Development and Well-being
Teachers play an essential role in making the learning process a fruitful experience for every student. The rapid transition from face-to-face to distance learning during the current pandemic has further shown teachers’ fundamental contribution to our societies.
At the same time, the teaching profession has been going through a vocational crisis for some years with many schools sometimes struggling to find qualified teachers. So what have national and European policy-makers been trying to do in order to overcome these challenges? How do teachers feel across Europe, and how can policies enhance their professional life?
Join the online conference on Thursday 3 June at 11.30 where we will debate this topic and present the Eurydice report “Teachers in Europe: Careers, Development and Well-being”. This report focuses on lower secondary teachers and analyses several key aspects and challenges of teachers’ current situation. We will also discuss the education policies that influence Teachers’ Careers, Development and Well-being, and provide evidence of both policies and practices.
