There is no specialized initial training institutions and programs for academic staff in the Republic of North Macedonia. Also, there are no requirements for those planning to pursue academic carrier to take additional subjects related to pedagogy, didactics, psychology, teaching methodology or other.  Macedonian universities autonomously develop study programs and determine admission and graduation criteria for the second and the third study cycle programs that is key general condition for the entry and promotion into the academic profession.
