Mobility programmes
Athena
Athena programme offers pupils in vocational education an opportunity to participate in exchange with low- and middle-income countries. Athena is administered by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (Universitets- och högskolerådet) and financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
Atlas Programmes
Atlas Vocational Training is a programme that offers vocational training abroad (globally) during upper secondary or adult vocational education. Atlas Partnerships offer a posibility for school classes from preschool to adult education and their teachers to visit each other and conduct mutual projects. Atlas is administered by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (Universitets- och högskolerådet) and financed by the Swedish Government.
Erasmus+ Vocational Education and Training
Erasmus+ Vocational Education and Training offers vocational training abroad (in Europe) during upper secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary vocational education. Erasmus+ in Sweden is administered by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (Universitets- och högskolerådet).
One-year Programmes
The one-year programme offers a one-year exchange period in France, Germany or Spain to pupils in upper secondary education. The programme is administered by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (Universitets- och högskolerådet) and financed by the Swedish Government.
Nordplus Junior
Nordplus Junior offers exchanges of school classes, individual work placements and study exchanges for pupils between Nordic and Baltic countries. The programme is administered by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (Universitets- och högskolerådet) and financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers (Nordiska ministerrådet).
Validation and recognition
The Swedish education provider is responsible for validation and recognition of qualifications, exams and courses obtained and completed abroad by pupils in preschool, compulsory school or upper secondary school. Validation and recognition is part of the regular assessment of pupils' learning, based on goals and criteria in curricula and course syllabies. Some upper secondary education providers use internationally recognised validation tools, such as Europass and ECVET, as a complement.

Erasmus+ School Education and Erasmus+ Vocational Education and Training offer possibilities for jobb shadowing, conferences and teaching assignments in Europe for teachers from preschool to upper secondary level. Erasmus+ is administered in Sweden by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (Universitets- och högskolerådet).
Nordplus Junior
Nordplus Junior offers exchanges for school classes, teacher exchanges and cooperation projects for schools from preschool to upper secondary level between Nordic and Baltic countries. The programme is administered by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (Universitets- och högskolerådet) and financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers (Nordiska ministerrådet).
