Part-time artistic education
Not applicable. There are of course international contacts between PAE academies and foreign organisations at present, but these are not organised or subsidised on a structural basis by the Flemish government. The only official international collaboration is the cross-border organisation De Noorderkempen, which brings together several Flemish PAE institutions with one Dutch institution in Baarle-Nassau.
Vocational training VDAB
The VDAB and the Skills Centres collaborate in Flanders with business sectors and training funds, the education sector (the Department of Education, umbrella organisations and schools), Syntra and other training providers. Strategic labour market-oriented collaboration platforms are currently being discussed by the social partners.
The VDAB also contributes to the network of practice firms, COFEP.
The VDAB is also involved in the Regional Technological Centres [see 12.4.3.] and the RTC network and with the Round Table Conference for Dutch as a Second Language and the Dutch Language Houses [see 12.7.2.].
The VDAB is represented on VLOR (the Flemish Education Council).
At interregional level, the VDAB is a member of Synerjob vzw (Arbeitsamt, Le Forem, Actiris, Bruxelles Formation, VDAB). Transnationally, it is a member of EVTA (the European Vocational Training Association), and of WAPES (the World Association of Public Employment Services). The VDAB is also involved in European projects.

Socio-cultural adult work
Socio-cultural organisations collaborate across different disciplines, often on a project basis. Cooperation between the specialist training institutions and folk high schools is required under the terms of certain decrees.
Another form of cooperation laid down by decree is the adult education consortia. These are cross-network collaborations between the adult education centres and one Centre for Adult Basic Education in a single region. Under the collaboration agreement that the thirteen adult education consortia have entered into with the Flemish government, they have the task among other things of working with public training providers and socio-cultural and socio-economic actors. In practice, only a few adult education consortia work with socio-cultural organisations, including with a few training plus centres.
