European, global and intercultural dimension in curriculum development

Currently, the strategy of national authorities towards adult education development and provision is through utilizing the EU structural funds, namely the Operative programme "Human Resources Development". Various projects are planned or have been implemented for training in key competences of adults.

In terms of international cooperation and participation in European education programmes (the Grundtvig sectoral programme) the attempts are individual and in most cases inititated by private education providers. The results of their projects are usuallt exploited withing the organisation and cannot be evaluated as a step to improvement of adult education curriculum.

Partnerships and Networks

Bulgarian private adult education providers are active in all types of European projects funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme. The established contacts allow for constant transfer of know how, which is needed in the developing system of adult education in the country.
