Specific home-based provision is not implemented in the Czech legislation an it is not common in practice. 

According to the amendment, as of 1 October 2021, a (independent) childminder may also be a provider of a children's group (dětská skupina) if the children's group has a maximum capacity of 4 children (the childminder's own children are also included). The Decree on Implementing Certain Provisions of the Act on Providing Childcare in a Children´s Group stipulates hygienic requirements for children's groups of up to 4 children, but it is not directly enabled to provide care in the childminder´s household. Most of the other requirements for these small groups are the same as for other children's groups. The childminder must meet the prescribed qualification requirements. The rules for fees paid by the parents are similar. There is no central education program, but the childminder as a provider should create a plan of education and care. He/she must also comply with the standards for quality of care.

Home-based provision can theoretically be provided under the trade “Daily care of children under 3 years of age”. Such type of provision is considered as the “trade provided in a premise” and thus the same rules apply as for other childcare facilities for children under 3 years of age, including the sanitary requirements.
