In Latvia there are no special requirements for staff responsible for administering and managing non-formal adult education institutions and organisations. Usually they are specialists/ professionals in their field. For instance, yearly Adult Learners Week, - the initiative adopted from the United Kingdom, - featuring lectures and workshops in museums are managed by the Head of the Communication Department of the National Art Museum.
