10.7Management staff working in adult education and training

Staff responsible for administering Adult Education at the Directorate for Research, Lifelong Learning and Employability is the Director, an Assistant Director and an Education Officer. Administrative support is given by four executive/administrative officers and clerks in the following areas:

  • database and registration of learners, 
  • customer care and contacts with learners, 
  • monthly returns payments and photocopies, 
  • appointments,ECDLexaminations and resources.

Centre co-ordinators run the seven centres used for adult lifelong learning courses. There are also various subject co-ordinators leading courses pertaining to subjects of ICT, English and Maltese as a Foreign Language (EFL/MFL), Literacy and Numeracy Skills and Key Competencies at MQF Level 1. Last but not least, there are also the adult educators teaching the range courses offered by the Lifelong Learning Section within the said Directoratethat include academic subjects, adult courses, arts and crafts, IT subjects, basic skills, leisure and music.
