Contrary to provisions concerning secondary school teachers, the grand-ducal regulation on trainers in adult education does not foresee any obligations or incentives for continuing professional development after the probationary period (stage). However, such an obligation is likely to be introduced more widely in the course of an upcoming civil service reform.

Non-civil servant teachers and trainers are bound to the rules and conditions applied by their institution.
