Learner mobility
Adult learners may go abroad to broaden their horizon at a range of thematic seminars or undertake work-related visits and traineeships in adult education institutions abroad. The Education Exchanges Support Foundation that administers the Erasmus+’ action ‘Strategic Partnership Projects’ allows to develop generic skills, to learn in elder age, improve adult learning.
Nordplus adult programme Exchanges of Adult Learners allow the Baltic and Nordic adult learners acquire another country's culture, traditions and new professional skills. Adult learners mobility helps strengthen the Nordic-Baltic cooperation and promote the sharing of experience in the field of adult learning. NordPlus Adult Programme is administered by the Danish Agency for International Education (IU) in Denmark.
Teacher and trainer mobility
Participation in a wide range of programmes administered by the Education Exchanges Support Foundation may enable adult education staff to improve their professional and cultural competences and enhance their knowledge of foreign languages, other European countries and their adult education systems. Adult teachers are provided opportunities to participate in learning events and seminars and undertake work-related practice in adult learning organisations. The visits may be carried out singly or as part of an exchange between organisations. They may last from several weeks to twelve months. The ‘Erasmus+’ action ‘Learning mobility of individuals' adult educators can participate in training and gain professional experience abroad. The purpose - to deepen and improve staff competencies of adult education, education and politics systems, foreign language skills, skills in initiating changes. Also adult educators can participate in the next ‘Erasmus+’ step – profect of strategic partnerships and manage themselves cooperation with foreign adult educators.
Nordplus adult programme allows the Baltic and Nordic countries for teachers in the presence of courses to acquire another country's culture, traditions and learning new professional skills. The sub-programme "Research Projects" combines formal, non-formal and informal adult education institutions and researchers from the Nordic and Baltic countries for joint activities. Aim of the project - to generate new and collect, analyze and publicize the existing body of knowledge in the field of adult education. Activities could include, for example. traditions of the participating countries or the problems that exist in the field of adult education, description, statistical comparison and so on. NordPlus adult sub-programme "Development Projects" shared activities between formal, non-formal and informal adult education institutions from NordPlus participating countries. Project activities are focused on the result – a product that would be available to others: eg., new courses, modules, methods, materials, etc. Development of sub-programme "Networks" allows the Baltic and Nordic institutions working in formal, non-formal and informal adult education, to establish long-term cooperation, to share knowledge and experience on the chosen topic or a specific area, actual to all partner institutions.
