European, Global and Intercultural Dimension in Curriculum Development
The long Danish tradition of including international topics in various learning environments is also present in higher education. The international focus and the international collaborations strengthen the quality of the Danish higher educational system as well as represent Danish interests abroad.
The Act on Universities states that the universities should contribute to the development of international cooperation and that the educational programmes should be at an international level. All Danish higher education institutions have adopted an internationalisation strategy. However, the degree of the European, global and intercultural dimension in the curriculum depends on the specific educational programme.
