According to the Adult Education Act (OG 144/21), the adult education curriculum is implemented by a teacher in adult education. Furthermore, the head of adult education performs professional-development activities in accordance with the requirements of the profession and positive regulations and performs other activities on the improvement and development of the educational activity of the institution, and, if necessary, direct educational work with the participants and learners.

The Ordinance on Standards and Regulations as well as Manner and Procedures for Determining the Fulfilment of Requirements in Adult Education Institutions (OG 129/08, 52/10, 144/21) stipulates that employees in adult education must meet the conditions on the required level of education laid down in the adult education programme, which must not be contrary to the provisions on the necessary level of education from regulations governing education activities.
